Nate Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization committed to promoting awareness, empowerment, 
and inclusion for children and youth with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

OUR OBJECTIVES 

Awareness and sensitization

To contribute to a well-informed population about Intellectual and developmental disabilities and provide a platform for raising awareness and sensitizing communities to openly discuss and embrace children and youth with IDD.


Capacity building and empowerment

To equip and provide professionals and non-professionals (educators, health workers, social workers and caregivers) with the requisite tools and knowledge necessary to adequately deal with children and youth with IDD. 


Research and Knowledge management

To contribute to the body of knowledge of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in Zambia and support programme innovation and policy development with information resources.



Policy and advocacy

To support the strengthening of institutional frameworks relating to children and youth with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and support the streamlining of legal and policy levers that facilitate inclusiveness and promote diversity.




Essential Support and Wellbeing

To support children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities, particularly in peri-urban and rural areas of Zambia, with access to fundamental necessities that support their health, dignity, and overall development. This includes ensuring access to nutritious food, clean water, safe shelter, assistive devices, developmental tools and other essential resources.

Organizational Growth and Sustainability

To ensure the long-term sustainability of the Foundation by strengthening its governance, operational efficiency, and financial resilience. This includes internal capacity-building, expanding partnerships, diversifying funding sources, and improving institutional frameworks to sustain the impact of programs over time.
