DR. ROSALIND JEFFERSON

Dr. Rosalind Jefferson is a highly esteemed Neurodisability Paediatrician with extensive experience in child health, neurodevelopmental care, and multidisciplinary disability services. With a distinguished career in the UK's healthcare system, she previously served as a Consultant Neurodisability Paediatrician in Reading, UK, where she played a key role in advancing specialist paediatric care.


Since 2014, Dr. Jefferson has dedicated over six months of each year to working at Chitokoloki Mission Hospital in North-Western Province, Zambia, where she leads paediatric services and delivers comprehensive neurodisability care. Her work includes establishing a multidisciplinary approach to supporting children with complex developmental needs, ensuring they receive specialized medical, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services within the region.


Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Jefferson is an active advocate for medical education and capacity building. She is a member of the Executive Board for Paediatric Disability Distance Learning Courses at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust/British Academy of Childhood Disability, contributing to the professional development of healthcare practitioners in paediatric disability care globally.


As a Board Member of the Nate Foundation, Dr. Jefferson brings a wealth of expertise in paediatric neurodisability, multidisciplinary care, and inclusive healthcare strategies. Her leadership strengthens the Foundation’s mission to enhance the quality of life for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring that they receive the care, support, and opportunities they deserve.
