MS. MAUWA YONDELA LUNGU

Mauwa is the Co-Founder and Director of Nate Foundation. She is a Development Expert in designing and implementing poverty reduction programs with a passion for inclusion and resilience for economically vulnerable populations. She brings over 15 years of international and local experience in the fields of Inclusive Finance, Risk Mitigation, Economic Empowerment, Research and Peri urban & Rural development programs.


She has driven impactful programs funded by different donors including DFID (FCDO), SIDA, Comic Relief, GIZ, Rufep, Irish Aid, and JoA. Mauwa has practical experience in project management, resource mobilization, has excellent engagement skills with the community, service providers, donors and policy makers. She is a seasoned fundraiser, an international speaker, a writer and an advocate for Financial Health and inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She envisions a world with equal opportunity for all classes of people and has particular interest and desire in promoting inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.


Mauwa is a holder of a Master of Science in Economics and Finance, Bachelor of Arts in Demography and Economics, and a Certified Financial Inclusion Policy Expert.
