MS. ROSE NAMUKWAI

Rose is a highly skilled experienced and passionate Gender specialist with over 20 years’ experience in the Gender sector working with International Organizations, Cooperating partners at community, national and within the region. Rose has worked as a Gender mainstreaming expert in different sectors of the Zambian
economy, contributing also to the review and development of laws, including the Anti Gender Based Violence of 2011, the Gender Equality Act of 2016 and the National Gender Policy of 2016. Rose has worked in various projects including FSD Zambia, United Nations Development Programme managing multimillion-dollar gender projects. She has also worked in a number of international and national NGOs formulating and implementing strategies aimed at keeping girls in school and ending forced marriages.

Rose holds a Master’s degree in Gender Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Zambia. She also holds a post graduate diploma in monitoring and Evaluation from Cavendish University. She has practical experience in Gender mainstreaming, women empowerment, resource mobilization, project management, gender analysis, social assessment, capacity building, community mobilisation, male engagement and policy reviews.
